I was ship's surgeon aboard the HMS Erebus. This was from 1845 until 1848.

Oh, no, I'd not say that. I am not a Physician, I am not technically educated in the administration of tonics and the like. I am a mere anatomist, a simple tradesman really. Primarily I was tasked with bodily injuries, amputations, that sort of thing.
