[ Does she wait a normal amount of time to show up at her door or...] I'm downstairs.
[ She'd invite herself in but she'll save the teleporting directly into her room for the next time.
When Cellar comes to find her, she'll be waiting patiently and emptyhanded. Her hands held loosely behind herself as she's leaned outside her doorstep like the girl who's just gotten turned around in this weird unremarkable neighborhood.]
[ With a little oh, shit under her breath, Cellar scrambles out of her bed and down the stairs, bomber jacket barely covering her sports bra, baggy pants and cozy socks completing the set. She would've put on less of a mish-mash of comfort if she'd spent a few minutes on her look, but. Oh well.
One massive door thrown open later, the attempt to play it cool lasts less than a second. Augh, who allowed Debra to be so pretty. ]
Hey. [ The phone is still in her hand. She puts it away and tugs the hairtie off, messing with her hair until it's nice and loose. ] That was fast.
[ It's always the cute ones that stumble into weird eldritch pacts. She wishes she could say the same for the body formally known as Debra, but she had very little say in the process. Deb wouldn't ever admit to picking a body for its looks, but she isn't impervious to vanity.
Pretty just happens to be compelling. Deb smiles in return. A little excitement before she tampers it down, stepping through the threshold with a little sway of her dress dusting her hips. ]
I thought you're not supposed to eat before a swim.
[ Got her there. It's late, and she's not here to feed in any sort of way. Her eye darts to the foyer, scanning around before twisting back on one heeled boot. ]
Okay, but this place is really cool though. Am I special enough to get a tour?
Hasn't killed me yet, [ Melodic, door closed with both hands, Cellar faces Debra, hair brushed behind her ear. It'll just slip back in a few seconds. ] Hell yeah you are. Come on.
[ Grinning like she can't turn it off, she offers a hand and shows Debra around — just the more interesting parts, like the massive living room where some fellow agents are lounging, nodding a noncommittal hello at Cellar's guest. There's a home theater, a room for video games; the exterior pool is a section of the garden they can see from Cellar's room, where she changes into her bikini and a kimono jacket, more of a fashion statement than a real cover. Anything Debra needs, she can have; then they're off to the main stage: the indoor pool. ]
[ She follows Cellar with a sweet little smile plastered across her lips, waving at her friends, taking in every little nook and cranny they pass with idle fascination. Raiz's presence is what she's interested in finding, but whatever she's able to glean from the wood id disappointingly dismal.
Any passing offer, Debra denies needing anything despite arriving empty-handed. She remains in step alongside her despite her short legs, tennis skirt swishing about her thighs from beneath an oversized fuzzy sweater. She bites her lip with a smile, considering her answer. She's seen plenty of houses like this.]
Oh yeah, you're super lucky. [ In what almost could sound like a tease. Following her into the pool room, her eyes scan around before turning back to her host. ] But it's like...totally haunted too, right?
[Is Deb the kind of girl who gets stirred up by scary stories? She's asking herself this. ]
No. Well. I don't know, I haven't really felt anything. Maybe the house is too massive for me to notice?
[ It turns into a frown. Cellar could be pranking Deb, but she's the last person who can rule out ghosts. Just look at everyone else in this house. Look at why they're all here.
Bottle opener in hand, she pops the cap with a soft clink and thinks about it. ]
I'm not afraid of anything. [ A quirked smile on her lips regards the room before she finds a bench to sit down and slip out of her shoes.
She could figure it out if she needed to, but the curiosity remains only passing. There's undoubtedly an energy that has stuck to such a place before and after the manse has been repurposed to it's current iteration.]
But if the lights flicker or I feel something grab my ankle under the water, I'm not responsible for the person I become.
[ She pulls her sweater over her head. She did not come bikini-clad as instructed, but instead has weaponized herself with red underwear. She's dressed to impress, okay?]
Anything that grabs our ankles is gonna be in more trouble than we are.
[ She has the first sip, lips on the bottle when Deb's sweater comes off. One's already lost the argument once they start deciding what does and doesn't count as staring, so Cellar's eyes go from the red fabric to the way Deb's hair drapes on her shoulders, sucking in her lips to clean the taste. Raking her hair back, Cellar clears her throat and moves toward the edge of the pool to sit down, legs slowly dangling under water. ]
[ This would be one of those nights where it might be fun to see where spreading her influence might take her. Something tells her that Cellar might not need encouragement to seek out what she wants, as she managed to get Deb here on her own without interference. It may be one of those situations where it'll be more interesting to see her fall into temptation herself.
If Debra notices her gawking, she pretends not to. The savior's hands fluff out her hair from residual static as she wanders over to step into the pool, descending into the water to approach from the other side. ]
Are you afraid of the dark? [ Silly question, but she's still playing coy with the whole Raiz thing. Nesting up in the water next to her to take a bottle for Cellar to open for her.]
Am I afraid of the dark? [ She takes Deb's bottle after setting hers aside, a self-satisfied smirk drawn softly on her lips. There's a little more confidence when she looks down at her guest, second cap pried off with bottle opener, thinking of the many ways she's used darkness before. Her ammunition is also her weakness, though — lock her in a room without a light source and Cellar Spider is just a girl trapped in a box. So: yes and no, but mostly ] No.
[ Deb thinks she might like to put her in a jar and rattle her around to see her squirm. It's always interesting to see the kind of people who find themselves desperate enough to make a pact for power. It takes a sort of darkness buried deep within their hearts, she's found. What was the source of Cellar's darkness? She has an academic interest in finding it. ]
Not bad. [ She curls the bottle against herself after taking a drink as he free hand slips under the water's surface to find one of Cellar's ankles. The touch is light, innocuous. ] Are you gonna hop in or is this the moment you're gonna tell me that spiders can't swim?
[ The smile becomes a small grin. She knows she's the toy, if not how much, and she's willing to play anyway. Her ankle swings before two free hands press flat on the edge of the pool to push herself off and into the water; arms stay above the surface for a moment, then sway underwater as a girl and her guest stand right in front of each other.
[ Deb bites down on her lip to temper her smile, wading back an inch or so in the water to accommodate Cellar into the water. She keeps her bottle close to her, feigning a demure look as the other woman lingers ever closer. ]
Then my next question is...does this kind bite? [ She asks through her smile. As easy as it is to give into the bit, she shuffles back a bit deeper into the pool to keep leading Cellar on. Her disadvantaged height drawing the water up a bit higher on her chest. ]
